The west kitchen was part of the 1785 addition to the house. In addition to its obvious purpose as a kitchen, the room was used by Artemas Ward as a bedroom in his old age. As part of a restoration effort, the walls were painted to imitate wood grain, a treatment that is also apparent in its original form on many pieces of furniture in the house. View more details.
