Born July 6, 1834, Shrewsbury, MA , died Carpinteria, CA 1927. Married Clarinda M. Clary February 4, 1864, Chicago, Il. During the Civil War he served with the McClellan Dragoons and 12th Illinois Cavalry. He was wounded and spent a short time in Libby Prison. In 1869 he took up a homestead in Norfolk, NE where he remained for nineteen years before moving to CA. Thomas and his wife had four children.
