Henry Galbraith Ward 1851
Born April 19, 1851, New York City, died 1933. Married Mabel Marquand August 13, 1891, Newport, RI. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, B.A. 1870, M.A. 1873 and LL.D. 1917. He practiced law in Philadelphia and New York City and served as senior judge of the Circuit Court of Appeals. His two sons died in service during World War I, France
After receiving his degree at Harvard College, Artemas taught school for a time in Groton MA. He married Sarah Trowbridge and returned to Shrewsbury. The newlyweds started a family, ran a General Store in the center of town and became respected members of the community.
