Born in Groton, MA December 3, 1724, married Artemas Ward July 31, 1750 in Groton, MA and died December 13, 1788 in Shrewsbury, MA. She was the daughter of the Reverend Caleb and Hannah (Walter) Trowbridge and a direct maternal descendent of Increase Mather and John Cotton. Sarah was the mother of eight children all born in Shrewsbury, MA.
